A WEEKLY VIRTUAL RESET
You don't have to clean alone.

A GENTLER WAY TO GET STARTED
Join from home
Depression can make everyday household tasks feel impossibly heavy. This hour offers compassionate company and a place to begin - without shame, explaining or pressure.
A little music. A little momentum. A lot less alone.
Move with music
Come when needed
Connect through Google Meet. Your camera can remain off, and no one needs to see your space.
There is no expectation to attend every Sunday. Skip weeks and jump back in whenever support would help.
Janae or a volunteer play an upbeat playlist, and you are welcome to submit favorite songs ahead of time.
WHAT IS BODY DOUBLING?
Sometimes, another person's presence helps us begin.
Body doubling means completing a task while someone else is present and working too. During Sparkle Together Sunday, everyone chooses their own household task while sharing the same supportive virtual space.
✓ The scheduled hour removes the need to decide when to start.
✓ Seeing others work can create gentle accountability and shared momentum.
✓ You remain in control of your task, pace, camera and participation.

WHY THIS SUPPORT MATTERS
Low energy and difficulty concentrating are common symptoms.
DEPRESSION AND DAILY TASKS
SMALL, PLANNED ACTION
A manageable activity can be a meaningful place to begin.
When energy, focus and decision-making are affected, household responsibilities can feel much larger than they appear from the outside. That is not laziness or a personal failure.
Behavioral activation is an evidence-based treatment approach that uses planned, meaningful activities to address avoidance and support recovery from depression. Our group borrows the gentle principle of taking one doable step; it is not therapy.
Sources: National Institute of Mental Health and Cochrane. Research specifically evaluating body doubling remains limited. Sparkle Together Sundays offers peer support, not clinical treatment, and is not a substitute for therapy or professional mental-health care.
Depression can make getting things done genuinely harder.
WHAT THE HOUR LOOKS LIKE
Simple structure. No pressure to perform.
Each session offers about an hour of shared cleaning time, but you are welcome to arrive late, leave early or simply listen until you feel ready.
